secret identity.

naming a quilt is most exciting. i contemplate the finished quilt until it ripples into an image, a sound, a word or a feeling. the label is like a small secret i share with the recipient of the quilt. that last and final step to the quilt making process is truly sacred for me. i take time to make the label, draw it all by hand and stitch it on with a vibrant coloured embroidery thread.

quilts are a true labour of love, like any object crafted with intention and devotion. these are not “mere blankets”. to me, they are cloaks of friendliness telling a story of patience and care. as such they deserve a unique label which, in and of itself, contributes to that statement.

a gift like no other.

stitching joy.

i like to write little messages sometimes on my labels. they allow me to connect with the recipient in a very private manner.

when a label is infused with so much presence it becomes a postcard. what is being sent is a gentle thought filled with good wishes.

sharing love.
