the year was 2014. that is when i touched a sewing machine for the very first time. fast forward to now and i am driving a longarm set on a four-meter long frame. this canvas is my playground and my studio is my happy place. my tools are precious and i am very meticulous about them. my involvement with my equipment is akin to a ritual. in my studio i move with intention, hence slowly. i quilt at the pace of the interruptions in my life and this practice of returning regularly to my longarm is deeply gratifying.
